About

“My Mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it.”

Mark Twain

Hmm… How to sound interesting?

Nope, can’t do it – I’ll just have to tell the truth.

I am a mother to a charming but feral infant boy and a part-time writer when I get five minutes (you can read more about that across yonder on my Contact Me page). Otherwise, my time is spent mopping up all disgusting manner of fluids, singing nonsensical songs and praying to ye gods of sleep for just a little bit more – Ooh Aah!

When our son arrived I spent a lot of time searching out answers to baby related puzzles – books and Google my middle-of-the-night-friends. ButYvette Lamb pics they just made me feel like I wasn’t doing it correctly and I eventually realised that shock horror – babies have their own different personalities and wills – like actual humans, so there really was no right answer anyway. I just had to muddle through.

So, I stopped reading about it and began writing about it instead. Not in any advice giving way at all you understand – I have zero wisdom.  But I like to think that I write about the complex business of baby-raising with honesty, humour and perhaps a smidge or two of hysteria.  I really do love being a parent but it never ceases to challenge me, and I am fine admitting the occasional urge to scream into a pillow before plodding on with our day.

Big Trouble in Little Nappies is also on Facebook and Twitter and you can choose to follow this blog via email, through the clicky button thingy on the left hand side.

I really value your comments (and enjoy responding) so please feel free to leave them, and sharing any posts you enjoy with others is hugely appreciated – thank you.
